I’m an author, journalist, keynote speaker, workshop instructor and assistant professor of journalism at the Medill School at Northwestern University. I am using this space to discuss issues in the media that affect women– not exclusively, but of most importance to women. I am also the mother of three sons, ages 19, 17 and 14. It is necessary to compartmentalize, but impossible to separate all those roles completely.
